April Lasky is a production designer based in Brooklyn, NY. She began working in the film industry at the age of eight working as an extra with her father, mother and sisters on movies, tv shows and commercials . While working on set, she experienced seeing the work of the art department bring imagined worlds into a physical reality, leaving a strong impact on her. She received her BFA in Interior Design and combined that with her passion and knowledge she gained in the film industry to tell stories through the art of production design.
In her spare time she likes to work on her vintage jeep, carve wooden spoons, visit living history museums, take photos of ordinary things and make miniatures dioramas of scenic landscapes.
She is represented by WME and a member of IATSE United Scenic Artists Local 829.
